Why a decisive moment? this has to be the expression on the boys face, defiance, satisfaction, determination, any or all of these. The girls in the background also contribute to the moment, they look to be interested in what the boy will do or where is he going and as if there has certainly been an interaction between he and them.

The initial moment here is that the cyclist fits neatly in the space between the railings and the wall, a fraction of a second later and the cyclist would have disappeared Also in this image, the railing contribute to the dynamic of the cyclist, the twisting, turning, curved and jagged shapes seem to add to the moment.
